So sorry to hear of Adeline's passing. She will hold a special place in my heart. Adeline and I were distant cousins. We shared a love for family history. I first met her in 1996 during a research trip to the Brussels area. We immediately hit it off and began sharing family stories & old pictures. This was the beginning of many letters, phone calls, and visits. I was not able to visit as often after moving from Michigan to Tennessee, but that did not hinder us from our letters & calls. The last few calls we shared she was struggling to hear on the phone. She would ask, "Now, who is this honey?" I would practically yell my name, "It's Randy." She would chuckle and reply, "Oh! My grandson Randall! How are you?" I quickly learned to say, "Randy from Michigan." She was the sweetest, most caring person. I will miss our visits, but I have many great memories to hold onto.
