Zoellyn Onn was born and raised in Blyth. Growing up she fell in love with the Blyth Festival Theatre and went on to be a large part of the Blyth Festival Young Company as well as playing Peter Pan at the Goderich Livery Theatre. This love prompted her to try her luck in the big city of Toronto. She attended Humber college and graduated with a diploma in Comedy. Zoey tried stand-up and sketch comedy as well as small acting gigs but knew she wanted something more. A friend who was becoming a funeral director at the time shared some history of the profession with her and Zoey knew it was what she wanted to do. Being able to serve her community had always been a part of her life, volunteering made her happy and satisfied. Zoey graduated with a diploma in Funeral Services in 2008 and interned at Ogden Funeral home in Scarborough. From there she moved to Highland Funeral Home and to The Simple Alternative Funeral Services York Chapel. When a part time position was available close to her home town, Zoey started to work part time at Falconer Funeral Homes in Clinton, eventually moving back to Blyth last year. She also started Ashlands Embalming, a trade embalming business to help out other funeral homes. When Schimanski Family Funeral Home became available, Zoey knew that the opportunity wouldn't come up again.

Thomas grew up in Mimico (suburb of Toronto). Growing up he was involved in sea cadets and loved to skateboard. Now grown up Thomas enjoys creating stained glass pieces, glass etching, and many other creative projects. He worked for 10 plus years in Toronto as a High Rise Restorative Mason and as a Superintendent. Thomas loves to create whether it is out of wood, glass or metal. He also loves to cook and has a growing interest in topiary. Thomas is looking forward to restoring the original house to its historical glory as well as adding many artistic touches to make it a one of a kind dream home and business.

Zoey and Thom both love to be outside in the garden or inside doing home renovations. They enjoy their dogs Peppercorn and Wendill and their two ginger cats Catso and Douro and newest edition Cobb. Zoey loves to be crafty, while Thom creates stained glass. They are very excited to become part of the community and look forward to serving Brussels and the surrounding community.
