Obituary of Jack Knight

John (Jack) Goldwin Knight of Brussels passed away peacefully surrounded by family at London’s University Hospital on January 29th, 2021. Born in Grey Township on February 15th, 1932, Jack was in his 89th year.

Predeceased by his beloved wife of 55 years, Donna Knight (Gloor) in 2014.

Jack will be sadly missed by his children Brad and Christine Knight of Mitchell, Steve and Marnie Knight of Brussels, and Joanne and Weldon Black of Quispamsis, New Brunswick.

Loving grandpa to Janine and Allison, Jamie and Karina, Christa and Mike, Michelle and Curtis, Shane and Stephanie, Deanna and Adam, Andrew and Jessica, and Allison.

Great-grandfather to Mia, Alyia, Daxton, Jack, Charlie, Lachlan, and Caleb.

Dear brother and brother-in-law of James and Dona Knight, Leslie and Yvonne Knight, Harold Knight, Helen Steele, Dorothy Knight and Peter Fischer, Murray and Silvia Knight, Milton and Wanda Dietz.

Predeceased by siblings Wilma Knight, Berva Caryl, Willis Knight, Marilyn Cooper and Ken Knight and in-laws Roberta Knight, Aileen Knight, Jack Steele, Robert Caryl, Barbara Knight, Charlie and Molly Harkness, and Len and Pearl Battley.

Jack grew up on the family farm and dedicated his entire life to farming in Grey Township. Up until very recently he was always there to assist during the planting and harvesting seasons and to help with the repair work on the machinery. Jack was a long-time member of the Brussels Lions Club serving the community for over 50 years. Jack loved his family and was immensely proud of them. He was a kind and gentle soul who will be missed by his community, friends and family.
