My condolences to the entire Knight family. Spent many a night babysitting for Jack and Donna’s family and also Jim and Donna’s family - a long time ago. When I first moved to Windsor Marilyn was working at the same high school. We would meet occasionally and share what was happening on the 14th and 16th of Grey. Jack was a true gentleman.

Dan and I want to say we are very sorry for your loss. Jack was a great guy.
My father- Clarence McCutcheon also wants to say he is sorry for your loss.
Dad was telling stories of Jack and the Lions Club antics. One story-- Dad said it was a year or two after Jack lost his hand and they were at Polar Days in Brussels. There was a log sawing contest. Jack said to Dad- let's do this. They lined up to be in the contest. Other Lion's members were giving Dad a strange look wondering why he would ask Jack to saw wood with one hand ? --in a race!!
Dad and Jack were one of the fastest in time to saw that log. Dad said Jack was a lot of fun. The loss of his hand did not hinder him for very long. He was a hard working man who loved his family and community. Jack will be missed.

Thinking of all of the Knight family at this sad time. Over the years when Joanne and Weldon come from NB, we've had many laughs about Jack's speech at their wedding. Jack had explained that he needed a way to remember Weldon's name after first meeting him, so he thought of how things turned out when he barbequed...well-done, black!
Treasure the wonderful memories.

Uncle Jack had a Tom Sawyer-like spirit I will never forget. One summer he convinced us cousins that it would be an adventure to help clear a field of rocks. My efforts were rewarded by a flight in the small airplane that then used that new runway. He knew how to reward hard work and instill a sense of adventure.
My thoughts and love are with the family at this time.

Brad, Steve, Joanne and the extended Knight family :
It is with much sadness that we learn of the passing of your beloved Jack. If there was ever a true definition of the word ‘ gentleman ‘
Jack epitomized that person. He was a
softspoken, kind and wonderful soul, respected by all those folks fortunate enough to know him. Growing up in the 60’s and 70’s in Brussels we will forever remember Jack and Donna and “ the gang “ with our parents at the weekend dance and house gatherings.
Jack was a weekday hardworking family man but come weekend he loved to party. Jack was a dedicated service man, a friend to all. ... the heart and soul of the community.
Jack will never be forgotten ! Deepest condolences .
