To Mary's family
We were able to know Mary from the post office, when going there was fun. She was always friendly and uplifting to be around as are Joyce and Doug who we have known for many years.
Mary always came to the Women's Institute card parties and casseroles, soup and sandwiches that were put on.
A great lady who will be missed a huge amount.
Our deepest of sympathy

My early memories of Mary are of the many family gatherings that were held in her yard, where people congregated to sit, catch up, share funny stories, and most of all - laugh. These occasions also occurred out at the "Ponderosa" - the family cabin out in the bush. Oh, the stories we shared with such hilarity - Davidsons do so love to laugh. Aunt Mary was one sharp cookie, always aware of what was going on in sports and the world. She never failed to ask after each family member, wanting to know how they were and what they were up to. What Mary was "up to" was always waiting for the teasing to begin, with a twinkle in her eye. Her voice and her laugh will always resound in my ear. How dearly she will be missed ~

Joyce, Doug, Ann and the extended Davidson Families :
It is with much sadness that we learn of the passing of your beloved Mary.
Mary ..... always a smile, always a laugh, lived every day to the fullest and her bubbly upbeat personality was very infectious to the daily lives of everyone fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her over her long lifespan. In short, she was one of those amazing individuals who just seemed to brighten up everyone's day as soon as you talked with her.
Mary had a terrific memory and was a wonderful neighbour. She was everyone's friend. Chatting with her was a must. You just had to speak with her to find how things were going in her life and listen to her stories.
Mary was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed in the community. She will never be forgotten ! Deepest condolences to the family.

Joyce, Doug, Ann, Connie and all of your families,
My deepest sympathy to all of you as you grieve for Mary's passing. It has to be so much more difficult when you folks can't even be together and none of us can come to give you a hug. I know you will treasure each and every memory of Mary. I know I will not forget her antiques and humour at all of the family reunions. You knew that when Mary was there you would be laughing. Although, Joy I believe you are following in mother's footsteps - LOL. Take care of yourselves and each other. As Queen Elizabeth said today...we shall meet again.
Love, cousin Shirley

I met Mary in 1959 shortly after I was married and moved to Brussels, it was around a sad time when her oldest daughter Joan died in a drowning accident, I can still hear the siren or maybe the town bell, not sure which now, on a Sunday in June 1959 just after lunch.
Mary, an active member of Morning Star Rebekah Lodge for almost 60 years, and Melville Presbyterian Church.
As my family grew Mary baby sat for us, she answered phone for Howard’s business, and often tackled a clothes basket of ironing for me, and did light house keeping, while I did bookkeeping.
She loved her card games for sure, at lodge and in the community.
I remember one Christmas Eve at church, I think she winked at one of my grandsons, and always ask about him, and he had a hug for her when they met later, usually Christmas Eve.
Condolences to the family, I will treasure great memories of Mary.
