We were saddened to hear of Cecil's passing and blessed that we were able to visit with him a few years back at the Raynard/MacFarlane Reunion at Joan Brewers. Mom was thinking of Cecil a few weeks ago and it brought her fond memories!! He was a character I remember growing up.. Our deepest sympathies , Margaret Black and families

A long life filled with a full life. Your Dad was a remarkable man. Always busy but always had time for family and friends. I remembered when we went to Sunday school after when your Dad would take us home we would first stop across the street to see your dad's parents. He truly loved his girls.

This man was a huge part of my life. He and Grandma Lou proved you don't need to be related by blood to be family. They both meant a lot to me and it was just last Tuesday that I went to visit him and he still knew who I was. Lots of memories over the years; the newest one being when I told him I was getting married.. He asked who the lucky guy was. I love you so much and thank-you for being a part of my life. He was always my canasta card playing partner and he hoarded those cards and Grandma got so frustrated. Love you Grandpa forever and always XOXO

Cecil was a wonderful neighbour, living close to our family for many years. A quiet and modest man, he was an inspiration to all who knew him. Not many ninety-three year olds get up on their roof to inspect the shingles? A long life well lived!
