Carol immigrated a single, brave, young lady from Holland in 1948. She started out as a housekeeper/nanny in the Newmarket area. While at church she caught the eye of a young John Boneschansker and they were married on October 28th of 1954 during Hurricane Hazel. They honeymooned in Holland, then came home and settled in Newmarket area where they started their family. Scugog Island in the Port Perry area was their next move where they had 4 more children. With all the kids in tow they picked up and move to the Ethel are in 1968, to start a dairy farm then switched to vegetable farming before retiring.
Carol loved to work on the farm with a big garden and she was a 4-H leader for many clubs. She worked part time at the nursing home in Brussels and the night shift at Spinrite all the while raising 6 1/2 kids. Carol liked to crochet dollies and loved to read. She loved to play euchre and if she had time would try a jigsaw puzzle.
Carol had a very gentle demeanor with a sense of humour that made everyone smile. She was a calm, patient, and totally unselfish person. She will be missed in her community for her helpfulness and kindness.
Due to covid restrictions her funeral service will be held in the spring.
As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation or Melville Presbyterian Church.
