Obituary of Marg Siertsema

Please share a memory of Marg to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with deep sadness that we notify friends and family of Marg’s passing. Marg had a full and happy life with her loving soulmate and husband Hebo of 60 years. Loving mother to Jean (Bill) Bennett, Alan (Dasha) Siertsema, Ken (Dianne) Siertsema, Bruce (Cindy) Siertsema. Doting grandmother to Blair (Rachel) Bennett, Dominic, Christopher, Alex, Nicholas, Josh, Lilly, Jessica Nethery (Trevor), Kasey, Amber, Nicole, (Brendan) Thomson and Tyler. Great grandma to Penelope. Missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws neighbours and friends. Marg enjoyed her career at Wingham Hospital as an RNA for 40 years. She loved going camping, and traveling all over the place. Family was major part of Marg’s life and her pride and joy. She never missed a birthday or anniversary thanks to her little Dutch Calendar. Marg was born, raised and spent all of her life on the third line. She loved her family farm and worked alongside her husband for many years. She was very active in her community being a 4-H leader, a member of the Auburn Women’s Institute and an integral part of the Presbyterian Ministry first in Blyth then Belgrave and then in Brussels. She had a smile that will be missed. A drive by visitation will take place on Friday July 3rd from 9-10 am in front of The Blyth Union Cemetery on Cemetery Road. A private family service will follow. Please enter the lineup from County Road 25 and exit onto Highway 4. Windows are allowed to be open, please stay in your vehicles, but do share your condolences with a wave or kind word. In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy donations to Melville Presbyterian Church would be appreciated. Cards of sympathy may be sent to Box 340 Brussels, N0G 1H0. Condolences may be left at riversidefuneralhome.ca
