Dear Marguerite, Alex, Kim and families:
We are so sorry to hear about Bob - what a shock. Bob always had so much energy and enthusiasm. Kindness and encouragement were his middle names. If I remember correctly, Bob used to work with Paul's father decades ago at Faultless Casters here in Stratford. Small world!
Also, we remember another time driving through Brussels a few years ago, when all of a sudden the van behind us started blaring the horn at us... uh oh, what did we do wrong? Did we cut him off? We turned the corner, and so did the van behind us - still honking at us. What the heck? We stopped, the van behind us stopped, and out came Bob with the biggest grin on his face. He couldn't stop laughing, and we had to join in, too. Nope, not road rage.... it was Bob trying to flag us down to say hello.
Bob was so kindhearted and so thoughtful. He will be greatly missed by all.
Our deepest sympathy,
Teresa Coulthard & Paul Strathdee, Parkview Church members

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the good fortune to meet Bob last year when he asked me to be a guest speaker on behalf of Canadian Foodgrains Bank at their annual Lions Club banquet. It was obvious to me then, and again less than a month ago when I spoke to him, that he had a passion for the work of the Foodgrains Bank. I know from talking to others, that he was a big supporter, always working to raise money for the cause of feeding hungry people around the world. We deeply appreciate all the work that Bob did in raising awareness of Canadian Foodgrains Bank and are grateful that you have chosen us as a charity to receive donations in Bob's memory. I pray that God's caring hand will be upon all of you during this difficult time.

I am so sorry for your loss, Marguerite and Bob's family especially Kim. I remember Bob's big laugh and the twinkle in his eyes like a little kid up to mischief when I knew him and Nadine in Stratford. I had just exchanged a few words on Messenger in the last few weeks with Bob and was totally shocked to read of his passing. Bob and Nadine supported my family at the sudden loss of our youngest son even though Nadine was quite sick herself. Know that I will hold you all close to my heart on Thursday.
Sincerely, Pat Hall

Marguerite, Barb and I were shocked and saddened to hear of Bob's sudden passing.
Though I had lost touch with Bob when he moved from the community, it was so good to get reconnected with him upon his return to the village and when he joined our Lions Club. Bob always had a smile on his face and was always willing to pitch in to help when asked, or where he saw a need. Bob had done a great job of leading our Lions Club as President for the past several months, only to be interrupted by the Covid pandemic which I am sure was a disappointment to him.
He will be dearly missed by our Lions Club, by his church and the community.
Our sympathy is extended to you, and the entire Kellington family. It is our hope that you will find comfort during this difficult time through your memories of happier times.

Bob was one of the most welcoming guys I have ever known. He accepted you as you were and he never tried to be any more than who he was. He seemed to always wear a smile and was ready for get busy and do whatever needed doing. It didn't matter if it was handy man work or setting up a hundred nativity scenes at Christmas, Bob gleefully kept his hands busy. My sympathies to Marguerite and the rest of Bob's family on the loss of his humour, positive attitude and abounding love.

I sat next to Bob in the choir every Sunday since I moved to Brussels. He would make me laugh every week by whispering silly things to me during prayers! It's hard to hold in laughter at church, it's even harder when you are up front and on display! Bob knew that, which is why he did it! As soon as I would compose myself, he would poke or nudge, always misbehaving! He could be wildly inappropriate to get a laugh, but always with a smile on his face and a heart of gold!!
He will be greatly missed.
