Jarred was my friend in high school and in cadets.we lost contact after that,
but i still have alot of good memories of him, another friend just told me about him other day and i was shocked cause i wanted to look him up on facebook, which i finally learned how to use. Jarred was alwys so much fun. we did karate moves to songs at a cadet dance, we played the Vader theme song (him on trumpet, me on piano), we had fun just acting crazy at school& we were both Star Wars maniacs. we were in band together in cadets, he had this crazy laugh he used to do, i thought it was fun. he used to give me his chocolate cupcakes, after he ate the icing. we shared a locker one year in high school and we were alwys pranking each other. a couple times he got me by unzipping my pencilcase and setting it
upside dwn so the contents would fall out when i took it out. other people
thought we were dating, but we were just friends, we hung out between clases, ate lunch together and talked on the phone after school, where he would have me listen to his games' sound effects. he was good at computer games, i wasnt, but it was fun when we used to go to Mac's and play the game there. Jarred was always so funny. once, he came to my house and my mom told us to make a cake, and i accidtly lifted the beater and splatted cake batter across his shirt, he looks at me, smiling, "you battered me!". he was such a great guy and so much fun and really nice. miss him

I was once Jarred's room mate in Nuevo Vallarta where we met initially. One day at Double Dragon we were having a demo night. Jarred had kept in touch with two of my students so he came early to help. He volunteered to do all of the mirrors in the gym. When he was done we had never seen the mirrors shine so clearly. To this day nobody has been able to make that shine. We repayed him with a hot lunch and a ride home after the demo. He was truly someone that was genuine and loyal. I often saw him at tournaments coaching and assisting children. This is someone that any martial arts club owner would want around, and truly a great person to have as a friend. My prayers are going out to Jarred's family and all of the children who loved him. From double dragon martial arts/ zack george

i always knew from the first day i saw him that he would always do well and strive to be the best at anything he would do.he was always outgoing and thought of other people and how to make things right. i didnt know him as and adult but i knew him as a child. the late nights of sending him to get the ball in the field to hiding him in the pig feed to play a practical joke on dad he was always eager to please and have fun. we always called him little red because when we played hiding seek his hair would always give him away.watching his favorite movie the clambake where the mailman would get the arrow in the forehead and repeating it just to hear his laugh eventhough we got in lots of trouble for it it was great. he was the one that even if you were having a bad day his bright witty smile would just brighten it. to see the stories and information of my brother as an adult even though i was not there makes me smile inside and so proud of my brother of all that he has accomplished and i always knew deep down that he would grow up to be a respected, generous, full of life and do whatever he wanted to do and be whatever he wanted to be and worked hard for it. my condolences go out to the Shamuon family who believed in him, his walmart co-workers, my sister dawn holmes, my dad don holmes and everyone else that has touched his heart and believed in him. jarred you were the light in my life, you never left my thoughts or my heart. i am so proud of you for what you have accomplished and most of all i love you my little red fire truck. may you soul rest in peace my brother.

Little Bro. Even as a little boy you always showed a kind heart towards everyone and everything. And despite being a pain in my butt sometimes, you were the best little brother i could have asked for. You were young when i left home and even tho we lost contact you were never far from my thoughts and my heart. I am so proud of what you have accomplished in your life(even tho i had little doubt you would do great things.) A shining example kindness, loyalty and a pure heart of gold. You will be missed little brother but never forgotten and always loved. May you rest in peace.

I worked with Jarred at Wal-Mart and we had several conversations regarding work and life. He was ALWAYS willing to help those in need and would do anything for anyone. Jarred loved Martial Arts and teaching it to the next generation. Jarred stayed firm to his beliefs and convictions about life, work, and how things should be. He was out going and never ignored anyone. Jarred Thank You for being yourself and know you're missed here on Earth. My sympathy and condolences to Jarred's Fsmily and all his friends and fellow co-workers.

Sifu Jarred has known me for practically a decade... We became pretty much instant friends when he joined Team Canada all those years ago... I am so happy that I had the honor and privilege to know such an amazing human being who sincerely dedicated his life and time to something he loved doing. He didn't only do it for himself but he would constantly come in just to teach a single class at our martial arts facility that he knew we needed help with then head back home. He would come in early, just to help me train, he would send me random messages at 2am about things I really couldn't care about but would love to talk about with him because just talking with Jarred was so enjoyable and fun. He was a dear friend to me, one whom I can truly say I loved with a great portion of my heart... he will never be forgotten and all the dreams I know he would have had to see all the students continue on the right path and achieve their goals in life I will dedicate my life to fulfilling... words can't express how much you meant to me Sifu... I could go on for days but if I can say anything that is most important to me that I would want everyone to know... is that you were a better human being then a lot of people could ever dream of being... truly unselfish, and you will always, and I mean always have my respect my friend... I miss you, and I will never forget you.

I worked at the same store as Jarred for many years, but didn't really get to know him until I was on days. While getting to know him, he surprised me many times. And proved to me how all too often, people make assumptions about others. He was a very nice, friendly, chatty person who stood up for what was right. He excelled at his job and had accomplished so much in such a short time. I was very proud of him and to have known him. I hope he finds peace. My deepest condolences to his family.

I had the pleasure of working with Jarred for 6.5 years at Walmart. Some of that time together in the photo lab. We often had down time in the lab where he would tell me about his martial arts and working toward his black belt. His pride in working with the younger kids. Coming back from competitions and hearing his passion about it was inspiring. Jarred had this amazing ability to accomplish tasks that nobody else wanted to do and do it with a smile. I am forever thankful for the times he would take over changing chemicals or come in when he wasn't scheduled to cover absences or fix disasters. He was one of a kind. The only person who could have chocolate milk and Reece peanut butter cups everyday for breakfast! He will be missed but not forgotten. May you find peace.

I have many great memories of Jarred while I worked for Walmart. He was always so ambitious and eager to help, he worked harder then most. Although I didn't get to know him well, he left an imprint in my life which I will never forget. He worked additional hours and spend so much time in KungFu while always managing to keep a smile on his face. These are just a few of Jarred's qualities that make him so admirable. I am certain that others would agree with me on these traits because he truly was a good man.
Sending my condolences to the family in this difficult time. Jarred is safe now and in a place filled with love. RIP Jarred
