My Brother Bob
There are not enough words or thank you's for all you have done for me. You have been there to support me my entire life and have been a big part of what made me who I am today. You allowed me to drive your cars in my teenage years and got an apartment in Kitchener for us which allowed me to attend college. Maybe even more important to me was the fact you were always there to assist and support our mother.
To see nearly all your nieces and nephews, the many friends from the community and extended family here today to say goodbye, shows how much you were loved and will be missed.
I am saddened and sorry I was not able to tell you how much you were loved and will be missed and to say thank you for all you have done for me and our family.
You were kind, caring and generous, always there when someone needed you, ready to assist others without any expectations. You gave so much with so little, and I am sure even more than I will ever know. This fulfilled your life, you didn’t need extravagant material possessions.
The cottage will not be the same this year without you, and I am sure I will have some lonely days wishing you were here to catch me up on all the latest happenings in Brussels and the family news.
I know missing mom the last ten years has been very tough for you but I am happy you are reunited again with Mom, Dad, Larry and Joan.
I am proud to call you my brother and my friend.
Good bye for now Bob, I love you and will miss you till we meet again.
Doug

Bob was my childhood playmate. I remember playing at Grandma and Grandpa Nichol's in the garden the barn and on rainy days upstairs in the big room. We would cut up magazines and make posters with flour glue. Later when I went to nursing school and he worked in Kitchener he would give me rides home on Fri and back on Sun. In more recent years I would meet him at the farmer's market in Brussels and at SoupnMore. We also attended a Johnny Cash tribute show at the legion but he only lasted for half. It wasn't his kind of country music he said. He was a regular visitor to my Dad Ross and Barb. His quiet laugh and shy demeanor well known in the town. He was loyal to his friends and family always even if he didn't always understand them. I will remember him and tell my kids about him. Rest in peace cousin.

Dear Bob
I cherish the memories of your gentle, kind, unassuming and truly loving way in the world.
I love the memory of you and I, two introverts, trying to have a conversation - not easy lol, but we figured it out. Hugs worked better!
I love that you were Leif’s and Kassandra’s mischievous co-conspirator; that you loved them utterly and were a part of what makes them who they are today.
Your soft, quiet humble presence lives in them as an image of family and as a shining light of constancy and loyalty.
You leave a legacy of love Bob.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
May many thousands of blessings surround and support you on your journey home.
Love you always,
Sue NgL2

Bob
Heaven has called you today, leaving so many words left to say.
You were taken so suddenly I didn't get to say how special you made me feel as a part of the Smith family. You have always had a very special place in my heart as I know I did in yours.
The cottage will certainly feel different this year, we all be waiting for you to arrive. I will have to make less pickles, fruit and jams as I won't be able to send them home with my biggest fan. My grandkids ' will miss their Uncle Bob as he won't be around to play tickles, read them stories or watch their favourite movies over and over and over.
But now it's too late, for your time has come.
Words unspoken - I am sure everybody has some.
Probably regrets and wishes are there too,
but lasting forever are the memories of you.
Love Colleen

You my uncle bob were a man with a big heart. I have such fond memories of you when I was a little girl. Letting Leif and I drive your car down the back roads with us on your lap. Taking us to play at the gravel pit. And walking us the general store to buy candy in brussels are just a few. Iwill miss you dearly - I love you always.
