George Somers

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving wife, 3 sons and daughter at Huronlea Home for the Aged on December 1st 2017.

He was in his 87th year.

Beloved Husband to Fannie Somers.

Loving Father to Ross (Judy), Rick (Deb), Randy (Tammy) and Janice (Bill) Smith and father-in-law to Dianne Somers.

Grandfather and great grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Predeceased by his son Rodger and brother Vernon ‘Pal’ Somers.

Cremation has taken place.

Friends and Family will be received at Riverside Funeral Home on Saturday, December 9th at 11 a.m. for the Funeral Service. Interment to follow at Brussels Cemetery. Following the Ceremony Everyone is invited to a Come and Go Reception at The Royal Canadian Legion Brussels Branch from 1-4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Huron County, Brussels Cemetery or a Charity of your Choice would be appreciated.
