My sincere sympathy to Cathrine's family - I can only imagine the void that her passing has created in the lives of those near to her. Catherine was very respected by my father who held her in the highest of esteem. Her comfort and support to my sisters and myself during his passing 10 years ago will never ever be forgotten. She truly will have a special place in heaven - Norma Desjardins (Mair).

I knew Cathrine from both the Brampton Library and the Brampton Arts Council Board. I always liked her and her community spirit. The last direct contact I had, Cathrine was asking me to help collect for the Heart and Stroke Association and I did for a few years. I am sure she made a good Reverand and am sorry to see she died so young.

It is with much sadness that we learn of the passing of Cathrine. Simply put, she was just a wonderful human being. Her smile brightened everyone's day. Her knowledge and wisdom were exceptional. She made an amazing contribution to education while a member of the Peel District School Board and her devotion to the Brussels and area Presbyterian Church community was much heralded. Cathrine's positive impact on the lives of others will forever be remembered and respected.

To Katie's Family: We knew Katie for many years and got to know her very well when she was going to St. Andrew's Pres. Church in Brampton, On. with us! We always enjoyed talking to her, and she invited us out to the "Round House" for tea and Christmas cake one year, she was going to Knox College. We were sorry to see her obituary in the Guardian newspaper, and will always remember her with a smile! Our condolences go out to all of you-she was a super person!

We were very shocked and saddened to hear of Katie's death. Katie was such a comfort and support to Diane after her late husband Lyndon Scholey became severely disabled. Later, when Diane met Keith, Katie asked her to bring him over for an assessment. Keith passed and Katie married us three years later. We will treasure the memories of Katie's visits to our home and cottage over the last several years.

We have fond memories of Cathrine. As a colleague in ministry she provided a listening ear and pastoral support. She was a guide through the processes and procedures of how to get things done "decently and in order". Her friendship was deeply appreciated by the whole Bush family. She would often inquire as to how Nathan was doing and was interested in his progress. She will be missed.

I still cannot believe Cathrine is no longer with us. She has had such an influence on our church life and our community life and left us way too soon. She always seemed to know what was best. She always had a smile when met on the street and always a conversation. Her personality will be sorely missed. Thank-you Cathrine for sharing your understanding. You made the entire community a better place.

What a void this will leave in all our lives! You can't imagine how many times in the past 2 days I have thought, "Cathrine will know what to do, " and then remembered she's not here to ask. She has touched so many lives - young and old - in the 17 years she called Brussels "home". She will be watching us from above. I wonder if they have facebook in heaven?? Rest in peace, dear Cathrine, rest in peace!

It was a great shock to learn of Cathrine's passing. We were saddened to discover that Katie had been so ill. The memories that we have of her are of such a strong, determined and principled woman. We were proud to count Cathrine as a friend even though we lost touch in recent years. We'll miss her and will light a candle for her today. I know she'll be stopping at the Rainbow Bridge to pick up a great assortment of animals who have been waiting patiently but joyfully for her to come.
