Chester Gordon Higgins of Brussels, passed away on Wednesday, July 27th at Wingham & District Hospital. Born in Morris Township on March 13th, 1927, Chester was in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Wilda (Agar) Higgins. Dear father of Wayne Higgins and Greg and his wife Betty Jane Higgins all of Morris Township. Loving grandfather to Meagan, Melissa, Mary Kate, Stuart, Loretta and Maitland. Dear brother to Robert and Julie Higgins of Goderich. Predeceased by his son Don, his brothers Jack and wife Bernice and George and his parents Gordon and Florence. Friends will be received by the family 1 ½ hour prior to the funeral service being conducted on Saturday, July 30th at 2:00 PM from the Schimanski Family Funeral Home with Reverend Elwin Garland officiating. Interment at Brussels Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Brussels United Church.
