Marilyn Anne (Goll) Higgins of Brussels passed away on Wednesday, December 29th, 2010 at Huronlea Home for the Aged. Born in Morris Township on January 13, 1943, Marilyn was in her 68th year.
Marilyn was the beloved wife of the late Jack Higgins (March 24th, 2008) and will be sadly missed by her children Ken Higgins and his wife Kim of Brussels and Deb Oliver and her husband John of Listowel. Loving grandmother of Kody and Taylor Higgins, David Oliver, and Nicole Oliver and Catlin Beitz and great grandmother to Kohen Oliver. Also loved by her sister Lois McArter and her husband Mel of Brussels, her sisters in law Mary Agnes and Don Edgar of Owen Sound, Anne and Gerry Ward of St. Mary's and Carol Higgins of Blyth, her Aunt Vera Moffat and Uncle Lorne McCrackin both of Wingham and her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Lila Goll, her in laws Alvie and Jean Higgins, her brother in law Bob and infant brother Harold.
Friends will be received by the family one hour prior to a Memorial Service to Celebrate Marilyn's Life on Friday, December 31st at 2:00 PM from Melville Presbyterian Church with Reverend Elwin Garland officiating.
Interment of cremated remains in Brussels Cemetery at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Huron County or the Brussels Fire Department.
