I am "one of Elaine's girls that lived in the schoolhouse." My sisters and I would walk from our schoolhouse to Malinda's house to buy our milk.We loved the fresh milk and yes it only was sixty cents a jug! We were often given a cookie or some kind of treat. But probably the most important thing that Malinda gave me was the fact that she made me feel like I mattered. I would often think of her and quietly say a prayer that I was grateful for knowing her.
