Leona Mae (Ferriss) Snyder of Brussels passed away at Seaforth Community Hospital, on Wednesday, May 26th, 2010. Born in Cottam, Ontario on July 22nd, 1923, Leona was in her 87th year Beloved wife of the late Wilson Snyder (1977) Dear mother of Donna Morton of Mitchell, Richard Snyder and his wife Marion of Moffatt, Debbie Macpherson of Guelph and Darlene Oldfield and her husband Jim of Brussels. Dear sister of Ina and Ken Newman of Cottam and Gordon "Bud" and Lillian Ferriss of Maidstone. Also loved by her 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her son Doug and wife Cathy, her brother Melvin and son in law Everett. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Sunday at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted from St. John's Anglican Church, Brussels on Monday, May 31st at 12:00 PM officiated by Reverend Perry Chuipka. Interment in Brussels Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. John's Anglican Church, the Children's Hospital of Western Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society.
