Hazel Matilda "Tillie" (Hulley) Engel formerly of Cranbrook passed away on Monday, January 4th,2009 at Caressent Care, Listowel. Born on March 3rd, 1920, Tillie was in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Ross Engel who predeceased her on August 2nd, 2000. Dear mother of Isabel Wick and her husband Eldon of Manitouwadge, Faye Grant and her husband Campbell of Listowel, John Engel and his wife Pat of Cranbrook, Dianne McClory and her husband Ron of Ripley, Gayle Dewar and her husband Ken of Monkton, Barry Engel and his wife Diane of Brussels and daughter-in-law Cindy Engel of Seaforth. Dear sister of Cora Broughton on Monkton and Mike and Shirley Hulley of Kingston. Also loved by her 22 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her son Monty, son-in-law Wayne Smith, sister Greta Ward and husband Walter, brothers Jack Hulley and wife Marg and Jim Hulley and wife Myrtle, brother-in-law George Broughton and 3 grandsons in infancy. Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Wednesday from the Schimanski Family Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, January 7th at 2 PM with Reverend Cathrine Campbell officiating. Spring interment in Brussels Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
