Lloyd Smith of Brussels, passed away peacefully at Seaforth Community Hospital, on Saturday, May 23rd, 2009.
Born in Grey Township on March 30th, 1937, Lloyd was in his 73rd year.
Beloved husband of Beryl (Dadswell) Smith.
Dear father of Sharon and Dave Rapson of Brussels, Kim and Bruce Gooding of Listowel, Wayne Smith of St. Jacob's, and Joan and Tom Warner of Brussels.
Dear grandfather of Becky and Andrew Courtney, Allison and David Lisle, Cody, Jessie and Eden Rapson, Andrew and Reid Gooding and Tommy Warner. Dear brother of Harvey & Marion Smith of Cranbrook, Joe & Bev Smith of Listowel, Ross & Shirley Smith of Brussels, Larry & Marilyn Smith of Southampton, Fred & Teuni Smith of Brussels, Carman & Doreen Smith of Atwood, Glenna Seddon of Hanover, Roger & Donna Smith of Shallow Lake, and Fran Gibbons of Hepworth.
Also loved by his many family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Allen & Mabel Smith and his sisters Doreen Willoughby and Grace Smith.
Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM Monday at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, May 26th at 2:00 PM from Melville Presbyterian Church.
Cremation to follow with interment at Brussels Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Community Care Access Centre - Huron County.
