The Hodgins family posted a condolence

The Hodgins family will miss her so much! I'll remember always that she had the time to chat and have a cup of tea with us even though she was so busy with her own family and life. She had a motherly interest in everyone especially kids, any kids, and she showed them, they were loved with little gifts. She always had a story to share about her own life, her children and grandchildren and about her growing up years in Saskatchewan. Recently, she was reminiscing about when she had polio as a child and went to live with her sister Ellen. At fourteen years she was working in Regina, then at age 17 she traveled alone by train to join her older brothers and sister in Ontario. She and her sisters were so beautiful in pictures...they looked like movie stars! She said that she had never met her oldest brother Bill till she arrived in Ontario. She had a strong and independent spirit and had a wonderful laugh that will be missed but remembered fondly.
