Ross Nichol of Brussels passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 21st, 2015 at Seaforth Community Hospital. Born in Morris Township on September 29th, 1923, Ross was in his 93rd year. Ross was the beloved husband of 33 years to the late Della Thynne and of 27 years to the late Barbara Anne Warrington. Dear father of Margaret and Ian Harris of Shelburne, Hugh and Susan Nichol of Kincardine, Paul and Kathy Nichol of Brussels, Ron and Gayle Prout of Brussels and Janet Prout and Pete Tuckey of Exeter. Loving grandfather of Joanna, Daniel and Christina, Carolyn and Jonathan, Stefan, Terry and Mariel, Cody, Josh, Megan, Annie and Robert, Dylan, Ethan and Seth. Predeceased by his sister Thelma and his adopted sister Adah. Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 pm Saturday and again one hour prior the funeral service being conducted at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home, Brussels, on Sunday, October 25th at 2:00 pm with Don Vair officiating. Cremation with interment of cremated remains in Brussels Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
