Edith (Blanchard) Gibson of RR#1 Gowanstown passed away surrounded by her family at Palmerston & District Hospital on Sunday, May 4th, 2008.
Born in McKillop Township on November 13th, 1929,
Edith was in her 79th year.
Beloved wife of Ben.
Dear mother of Gale and Bob Pearson of Hamilton,
Gwen and Don Patterson of West Montrose,
Linda and Steve Taylor of Fordwich,
Harvey and Dina Gibson of RR#2 Gorrie,
and Heather and Shaun Joy of London.
Dear grandmother to Nathan, Mandy, Nick, Megan, Stephanie, Kristen, Tamara, Sheena, Wade, Ben, Samantha and Brenden and great grandmother to Gavin, Marissa, Brooke and Ava.
Also loved by her brother Gordon and Ada Blanchard of Seaforth, her brother-in-law Gerald Watson of Goderich and her niece Frances Rowley of London.
Predeceased by her sisters Berva Watson and Helen & Mel Nichol and her brother Keith Blanchard.
Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Tuesday at the
Gorrie Visitation Centre of the Schimanski Family Funeral Home.
An Eastern Star service will be conducted Tuesday at 9 PM under the auspices of Goodwill Chapter No. 235 OES.
The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 7th at 2:00 PM from Fordwich United Church with Reverend Sharon Lohnes officiating.
Interment in Fordwich Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Fordwich United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.
