Murray Cardiff of RR#1 Ethel passed away on Thursday, October 31st, 2013 at Listowel Memorial Hospital. Born on the family farm in Grey Township on June 10th, 1934, Murray was in his 80th year. Murray was the beloved husband of 55 years to Betty (Mathieson) Cardiff. Loving father of Jeff and Cathy Cardiff of RR#5 Brussels, Joan Cardiff of London and Scott and Kendra Cardiff of RR#1 Ethel and grandpa to Emily, Matthew, Blake and Tanner. Also loved by his sister Jean (Cardiff) Prescott, his special canine friends Winnie and Cooper and his many family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Elizabeth and his sister Margaret Elston. Murray served his community as a proud Member of Parliament of Huron-Bruce from 1980 to 1993 and was a charter member of the Brussels Optimist Club. The funeral service will be conducted from Melville Presbyterian Church, 55 Dunedin Drive, Brussels on Sunday, November 3rd at 1:00 PM officiated by Reverend Elwin Garland. Interment in Brussels Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Melville Presbyterian Church or the Brussels Optimist Club would be appreciated by the family
