Travis Roger Sturgeon of Gorrie, passed away on Saturday, April 14th, 2007 as a result of a hit and run accident in Howick Township. Born on June 10th, 1990, Travis was 16 years old. Beloved son of Roger Sturgeon of Gorrie and Sherry MacDonald and her partner Geoff Alcorn of Belgrave. Dear brother of Trista Sturgeon and Kali, Darby and Shauna Alcorn. Dear great grandson of Shirley Pohlman of Arthur. Dear grandson of Peggy and Addrien Konings of Kitchener and Earl and Shirley Sturgeon of Gorrie. Dear nephew of James MacDonald and Kathy of Kitchener, Allan and Shelley Sturgeon of Listowel and Ann and Tim Bingham of Listowel. Dear cousin of Dylan and Sheldon MacDonald, McCalla Sturgeon, Alanna Bingham and Bill and Larisa Bingham. Predeceased by his grandmother Barbara Nethercott. Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Wednesday from the Gorrie Visitation Centre of the Schimanski Family Funeral Home, where the service will be conducted Thursday, April 19th at 2 PM with Reverend Cathrine Campbell officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at Gorrie Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Children`s Hospital of Western Ontario or to the charity of one`s choice.
