So sorry for your loss....Merle was a good friend of my sister Nila Hawthorne,who passed away last year. They had some wonderful trips together and wonderful times as a foursome when they were younger (with Ben and Doug). Once again, my condolences.....Gwen
I was very sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. She was one in a million, a real gem. When she and mom came to Hawaii several years ago, they had a heyday. They really had a good time island hopping, like a couple of young girls. And of course they were friends from the time they were young-a lifetime friendship. How lucky they were. I have many fond memories of both your parents. Especially of summers spent on the farm with you all. It is sad that they and mom and dad are all gone now. I know you will have many good memories to keep you. God bless you Merle.
